Tell what you lived, with care

Ember Community Guidelines

Ember holds personal experiences, and sometimes, through private matching, brings one to a person who may never meet the one who told it. These guidelines protect the person telling, the people mentioned, and the person who may one day read it.

Adults 18+ · Ember is not therapy, crisis support, or an emergency service

What belongs here

Ember is built for lived context rather than performance, certainty, or universal advice. A telling that matters can be ordinary, unresolved, and imperfect.

01

Speak from your own life

Describe what you personally experienced, what you understood at the time, what you tried, and what remains uncertain.

02

Read in good faith

When someone's Ember reaches you, it is one person's account of what they lived. Reading it, saying thank you, or leaving a note is about recognition, never about judging, diagnosing, or exposing someone.

03

Leave room for another life

One experience can offer recognition or possibilities. It should not be presented as the answer every other person must follow.

The community boundaries

These rules apply to your conversations, your Embers, images, and everything else you provide through Ember.

Tell with care

  • Be honest about what you personally lived
  • Use respectful, nonjudgmental language
  • Remove unnecessary identifying details
  • Preserve uncertainty and context
  • Respect another person's choice not to engage

Do not use Ember for

  • Harassment, threats, hate, or discrimination
  • Doxxing or confidential information
  • Impersonation or fabricated lived accounts
  • Spam, promotion, fraud, or illegal activity
  • Graphic, exploitative, or non-consensual sexual content

Safety and crisis support

Some situations need trained, immediate human help.

Ember is not a therapist, healthcare provider, crisis counselor, or emergency service. It cannot monitor your safety or intervene in the physical world.

If you may harm yourself or someone else, are in immediate danger, or need urgent medical attention, stop using Ember and contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis resource where you are.

Reporting, review, and enforcement

Oriscen may filter, review, refuse, remove, restrict, suspend, or terminate content and accounts when needed to enforce its policies, protect people, or comply with law. No moderation system catches everything.

Report a concern

Email contact@oriscen.ai with the relevant URL, a description of the concern, and a screenshot when useful. Do not redistribute sensitive content more widely than necessary.

Protect your privacy

Telling Ember is not posting. Your Ember may be privately matched by default — shown to one person going through something close, never to a crowd — and you can turn matching off anytime. Read what Ember processes before you begin.

Expect proportionate action

Possible responses include a warning, content removal, feature restriction, suspension, or account termination, depending on the conduct and applicable policies.

Help lived experience arrive with care.

Speak from your own life, protect identifying details, and report content that crosses the line.
